Jill Ker Conway, Ph.D.

Jill Ker Conway was born and raised in the outback of Australia. After an amazing personal journey, she received her Ph.D. from Harvard University (1969). Later, in 1975, she became the first woman president of Smith College and served 10 years in that post. Conway was chairman of Lend Lease, one of Australia’s largest companies, and is currently a senior director on the boards of Merrill Lynch, Colgate-Palmolive and Nike. She has also served as a trustee on several major U.S. foundations and universities. She is a best-selling author.
