ImagineNations Launches First Seeing is Believing Trip
PASADENA, Md. (1 December 2004) — In early November 2004,
the ImagineNations Group, in conjunction with Friends of Zambia,
launched one of its core programs in bettering the lives of young
adults around the world, the first of its Seeing is Believing trips, by taking a group of 30 investors, philanthropists, business
leaders and their children to Zambia.
Seeing is Believing trips are designed to increase
interest in and understanding of the needs of people living in
poor countries
and, in so doing, to heighten levels of charitable and business
investments
The trip was co-led by ImagineNations President Rick
Little and Zambian Ambassador to the United States Inonge Lewanika,
Ph.D., who introduced the participants to villages, youth projects and
urban centers, entrepreneurs and government leaders.
“We are very excited about this initiative to help bridge the
gap between business leaders, investors and developing countries,” said
Little. “Our initial trip to Zambia was hugely successful
and resulted in major new investments in the country.”
ImagineNations
is planning two trips to Zambia and one trip to the Middle
East in 2005. For more information, please contact info@imaginenations.org.
