World Youth Congress to Discuss Youth
Employment
ImagineNations President to Give Closing Keynote Address
PASADENA, Md. (27 July 2005) — Rick Little,
president and CEO of the ImagineNations™ Group, will
address hundreds of young adults
from around the globe about progress made toward achieving the United
Nations Millennium Development
Goals (MDGs) during his closing keynote address at the 3rd
World Youth Congress.
This dynamic 10-day event, to be held 30
July - 8 Aug. 2005 in Scotland, will draw 600 of the world’s
most dynamic young activists in the field of sustainable development
from 120 different countries.
Young delegates from these countries will join forces with young Scots
to undertake hands-on community action projects across Scotland, and
will help shape international policy by documenting and showing governments
what young people are doing to accomplish the MDGs.
The Congress offers
a unique opportunity to meet and work alongside young people who are
really doing things and going places. This event
sets
a new standard for international youth events and will be the largest
and most inspirational gathering of its kind for young people taking
place anywhere in the world in 2005.
The Scottish Executive Education Department is organizing the event
with the support of Peace
Child International, the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations,
the Scottish Youth Parliament and other youth organizations.
