PASADENA, Md. (29 August 2006) — The ImagineNations Group welcomes Neal Keny-Guyer,
chief executive officer of Mercy Corps, to its Board of Directors.
During Keny-Guyer’s leadership, Mercy
Corps has emerged as a leading international relief and development
agency with programs in more than 35 countries, over 2,500
staff, and an annual operating budget of $200 million. He
has forged new organizational directions—most notably,
globalizing operations through mergers and strategic alliances,
placing peace-making, human rights and civil society at the
heart of its humanitarian mission, and building an organizational
reputation for innovative and entrepreneurial practices.
Keny-Guyer brings more than 30 years of experience
working nationally and internationally on behalf of the disadvantaged—from
at-risk inner city youth in Washington, D.C., to Cambodian
refugees in Thailand. Keny-Guyer has a Master’s of Public
and Private Management from Yale and an honorary doctorate
from Portland State University.
