Stefanie Harrington

Public Affairs Manager

With extensive public relations and communications knowledge, Harrington, a native of Germany, is the public affairs manager for ImagineNations, handling all program and organizational communication efforts.

Prior to joining ImagineNations in 2005, she was an external affairs manager at Prevent Cancer Foundation, one of the nation's leading health organizations. In this capacity, Harrington served as spokesperson and project lead for national campaigns that educated the public about the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.

From 1999-2002, Harrington worked for Constella Group, a provider of professional health services worldwide, as the corporate communications specialist. During this time, she was also actively involved in the Public Relations Society of America's North Carolina Chapter, volunteering her time as Web master and receiving a Certificate of Appreciation for her efforts from the Chapter's president.

Harrington graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication and a minor in French. She also holds a master's degree in German Literature from the University of Maryland College Park, where she was recipient of a fellowship and taught German through a teaching assistantship. She is a lifetime member of Delta Phi Alpha Honor Society.
