ImagineNations Managing Director Alan Fleischmann to Offer Keynote Speech at IDB Regional Meeting
WASHINGTON (7 Nov. 2008) — Alan Fleischmann, managing director of ImagineNations Group, will offer the keynote speech at the Inter-American Development Bank's (IDB) "X Hemispherical Meeting of the Poverty and Social Protection Network," held in Washington on November 6-7.
The two-day meeting of the Poverty and Social Protection Network will explore the supply and demand for financial services directed at the lower-income population of Latin America and the Caribbean.
"ImagineNations recognizes that poverty reduction requires comprehensive and innovative solutions in order to enable families and young people to positively change their opportunities and livelihoods," said Fleischmann. "Financial services such as savings, loans and insurances would help young people and their families to improve their financial situations, lives and communities."
Discussions at the meeting will address the role of government social institutions as part of the financial inclusion of low-income families and the roles of the private and third sectors and strategic alliances. Partnerships and alliances are particularly important as no single organization can address the challenge of global employment and poverty in isolation.
