ImagineNations Launches First Seeing is Believing Trip

PASADENA, Md. (6 October 2004) — The ImagineNations® Group collaborated for the first time ever with Chat the Planet and NextNext Productions to create a 30-minute show, featuring an authentic conversation between young people in Iraq and the United States.

The show, Chat the Planet: Baghdad 2 Way, which was broadcast on the cable network MTV on 4 October and will be repeated throughout the month (check chattheplanet.com for times), enabled nine college-aged Iraqi youth and 12 U.S. university students to talk about politics, war, school and parents via satellite television.

"We envision several more such co-branded specials to air on various broadcasters in 2005 because Chat and ImagineNations are eager to build bonds, confront biases, tackle cultural misunderstandings and get young people to act for social change," said Rick Little, CEO and president of ImagineNations.

Chat the Planet: Baghdad 2 Way received significant positive media attention, including a feature story in the New York Times.

"ImagineNations is looking forward to help tell inspiring stories, engage millions of young people from around the world in dialogue and disprove their myths," said Alan Fleischmann, managing director of ImagineNations.
