CGI Commitment
ImagineNations is an active member of the , a non-partisan catalyst for action, bringing together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges. The Initiative requests specific, action-oriented commitments from each member, helping to solve problems and improve lives around the world, through focused efforts to combat climate change, improve global health, alleviate poverty and use religion as a force for reconciliation.
As part of the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City, ImagineNations made the following commitment:
"Over the next 5 years, the ImagineNations Group and Mercy Corps, in partnership with Omidyar Network and the Nike Foundation, among others, are creating a commercially viable network of funds that will invest in youth entrepreneurship and enterprise development, with an emphasis on fostering the economic power of young women and girls. The network will leverage at least $50 million through ImagineNations' and Mercy Corps' global network of up to 20 microbanks and other financial institutions."
